Ingredients you need
- 1 pound/ 500g white fish fillets
- 1 teaspoon fish sauce
- 1/4 cup rice flour
- green beans
- 1 tbsp fresh cilantro
- red curry paste
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 4 onions, sliced
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- vegetable oil for frying
Steps to make Thai Fish Cakes
- Combine the fish fillets, red curry paste, cilantro, and egg in the electric mixer till you reach desired consistency. Keep it aside.
- Take a large bowl and transfer it to a bowl adding rice flour and green beans and mix it until well combined.
- Using wet hands, shape the dough into small patties and dust it with cornflour.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry the patties 4 at a time until they are golden brown.
- Turn and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Drain the fish cakes on a towel or kitchen paper.
- Repeat the procedure with the remaining patties adding more oil if needed.
- Serve hot with your favorite dips, and garnish it with coriander leaves.
